We missed the fun of spending holidays outside last Christmas so for the first day of 2012, my mother agreed to spend it in Marquee Mall. Even if mall hours would start at 12 noon during New Year, we didn’t mind going there early to get a good parking slot. A spacious parking area greeted us when we arrived there 30 minutes before the opening time.

No More Green Beans At Racks
I was running errands for my brother last week and it took me until four in the afternoon before I was able to get to SM Mall of Asia for lunch. I was really hungry and looking forward to eat a heavy meal that day. My last experience with Racks was pretty indulging so I went to the same restaurant hoping to enjoy another meal from them.
Satisfying Dinner At Racks
I had an appointment last Thursday and it was already mid-afternoon when I finally made it to the university. I got a plan ready on what would I do after the meeting and where would I go. I had so many things in mind but time didn’t permit me to do all of those in 5-6 hours. My bad, I had to finish some tasks at home before attending to school and personal stuff.
Sister’s Birthday Dinner At Guilbert’s Place
My sister’s birthday fell into a weekday so our youngest was at work when we had dinner that night. Together with my Mom, my sister and her boyfriend, we went to Guilbert’s Place for a simple dinner celebration. We’re already on our way to the restaurant when I realized I forget to bring my driver’s license. Luckily, we survived the night without getting caught by a traffic enforcer.
The Return At Tender Bob’s
It was Sunday, a day before my younger sister’s birthday. Since my other sister would be going to work the next day, the birthday celebrant agreed to celebrate her special day that day. She treated us to lunch at Tender Bob’s in SM The Block. We enjoyed our previous experience in the said restaurant so we were quite excited about the idea of going back there.
Happy Tummies At T.G.I. Friday’s
Last year, we were able to fetch my brother again from the airport. I was hoping that the family could be complete that time but like in 2008, my younger sister wasn’t able to come with us because of some school stuff. Since my brother has been talking about T.G.I. Friday’s since his college days, I had convinced him to treat us lunch there the next time he’ll go home again. I was actually looking forward to that lunch treat especially that I could order for something expensive. That’s how lucky we were.
Lunch Treat At Burgoo
It was my brother’s first vacation in the Philippines after he left in September 2008 to pursue graduate studies in Japan. He didn’t make it on Christmas but he was able to spend a one-month vacation in the country in early 2009. We fetched him at the airport together with the whole family except for my younger sister. My younger sister chose to stay at home to review for an incoming exam. It happened that my Dad was here in the country also for his vacation so it’s really perfect. We celebrated this rare opportunity by going to the SM Mall of Asia (MOA) as we were expecting that in the next few years, my brother and Dad might have no chance to see each other very often.
Mom’s 52nd Birthday At Pizza Hut
I happened to keep some pictures way back 2008 when we celebrated my Mom’s birthday. If I still remember right, we went to Pizza Hut Baliuag for lunch after we attended mass. During that time, the nearest branch of Pizza Hut is at Baliuag so we had no choice. Another branch became available only after SM Baliuag got built just last year. The nearest fast food chains and restaurants around our place are Chowking, KFC, Jollibee, Greenwich and Max’s Restaurant. Since Pizza Hut is quite popular and we wanted to try something new, we decided to go there for my Mom’s birthday lunch. And before I forget, sorry for the quality of the pictures. They were taken using my brother’s Samsung D500 phone.
