Impromptu Dinner Treat At Le Ching

It was a very tiring day that ended with an impromptu dinner with a college friend. We were supposed to drop by at Starbucks only to meet up a colleague but since it was dinnertime already and we were at Technohub, my friend agreed to join me for dinner at Le Ching Tea House.

An Unexpected Brunch At ROC Cafe

My colleague and I were supposed to have breakfast at The Chocolate Kiss Cafe around 9am but things happened differently. The meeting ended at 10am and the cafe (one located in 2nd floor) where we planned to eat was closed when we arrived there. I was really looking forward to eating at the cafe again so I was a bit frustrated. The closest place where we could eat is at ROC Cafe, located at the ground level of the same building so we went there right away. By the way, it was my colleague’s treat so I really shouldn’t be complaining. :D

A Taste Of Pepper-Flavored Meals At Pepper Lunch

Coming from a meeting within the Rockwell Center, my colleague and I decided to eat lunch at the Powerplant Mall since it was lunchtime already. We walked along the path of restaurants in the Concours level trying to look for a good place to dine in and saw Pepper Lunch, a “fast-steak” restaurant as described by Wikipedia. We first checked their menu displayed outside the restaurant before we entered the place. We had to make sure that there is something in their menu that would fit in my diet.

Taking Advantage Of Friday’s Bistro Card

I never thought I’d be going out on a Monday but I had no choice since we had to meet someone in Makati. After the meeting, my colleague decided to come with me in Trinoma for lunch. To be able to take advantage of his Bistro card, we headed to T.G.I. Friday’s after walking along the line of restaurants located in the 3rd level of Trinoma Mall. It was past lunchtime already so there were a few customers only when we arrived.

Trying Out Salad At Sbarro and California Pizza Kitchen

It’s been more than a month since I started doing a low-carb diet. With no rice or pasta in my meals, I have to resort to eating a lot of vegetables. It’s easier to eat them at home but whenever I’m dining out, most of the time I have no choice but to go for salads. I have no problem with eating them but I rarely find good salads out there. I’ve tried a few before but I have to try new salad choices.

Bigoli: A Possible New Meeting Place

So here we go again, my colleagues and I had to meet in Trinoma last Thursday. It was also the first showing day of Harry Potter 7.2 so I was expecting a lot of folks in the mall. We were only three in the group and meeting time was at 6pm. I went there an hour early to avoid traffic around Bulacan area. While waiting for time, I stayed at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and grabbed a glass of my favorite Lemon Zest Fru-tea. As expected, there were a lot of customers in the restaurants and coffee shops at that time. When our group leader arrived, we decided to stay somewhere around the cinema area. First plan was to go at Cafe Izzo but it was already crowded so we transferred to Bigoli instead.

Wrap-up Meeting At Cafe Izzo

We were supposed to meet before lunchtime at the University. It was already past 11:30 in the morning when I arrived at the venue. Even before we got the chance to talk, lunch was served and everyone had started to eat. It was only after lunch that we’re able to talk for a while. And when the rest of my colleague’s officemates started to leave, we decided to continue the meeting at Trinoma. I just got my paycheck at that time so I thought of treating them for merienda. Actually, we spent minutes in just choosing a place where we could eat and stay. I’m really having a hard time in choosing a restaurant or cafe every time I’m with them so I never volunteered to do so. After choosing coffee over donuts, ice cream and sandwich, we ended up sitting at the couch of Cafe Izzo.

What I Love In FlapJacks

It was only last month when I was able to try FlapJacks because of a meeting set with my professor and colleagues there. I’ve been hearing the restaurant’s name but I hadn’t got a chance to pay it a visit maybe because of its location. The closest branch in where I stay can be found in Technohub, Quezon City. So my first dining experience there turned out to be my professor’s birthday treat to us, while talking about business at the same time. And then just last week, I also got another chance to eat there for another meeting with some colleagues.

Going Greek With Cyma

I never thought I’d be eating in Cyma. I know my teacher used to eat in the Greek-inspired restaurant but I never had the chance to go with him there. I remember checking its menu online but I got afraid of trying its foods because Greek foods are something new to me. Prices are quite expensive also so I didn’t get the guts to try there. Another thing, their names were weird for a non-Greek like me so I got scared at them in a way.
