Youngest’s First Birthday Treat

It was my sister’s 21st birthday and for the first time, she decided to treat us to lunch. Instead of having a separate celebration with some of her closest friends, she just invited them to come with us in Marquee Mall that day. In fairness to my sister, she was game in almost every food we are suggesting her to order at T.G.I. Friday’s.

Fish For Lunch At Aristocrat

It was Sunday and we went to SM Pampanga after attending mass. Even though my Mom wasn’t feeling well, she granted my younger sister’s request to go to the mall. The latter would shop for what some clothes and things she’d use at Boracay this weekend. So my younger sister was still busy shopping when my Mom and I opted to try The Aristocrat Restaurant. We’re supposed to eat there a few months ago but we walked out of the restaurant because we’re seated for more than 10 minutes already and no one was approaching us. From the outside, I saw several servers assisting the customers so I’d though their service improved. That’s what convinced me to give them a second chance aside from the fact I would like to try their foods.

Satisfying Cravings At Conti’s

It was Monday but most people didn’t have to go to their school or office because it’s National Heroes’ Day. My younger sister chose to give up the double pay opportunity and instead enjoy the holiday with us. Unfortunately, my youngest sister had to miss the long weekend (Tuesday is a holiday, too!) because holidays don’t exist in their company’s vocabulary. Tsk. She would receive double pay, though, so it wasn’t too bad at all.

Celebrating Dad’s 55th Birthday At SumoSam

It was my father’s birthday and like what we used to do every year, we celebrated it with the whole family even if my Dad wasn’t here during his special day. Since I’m still in search for new restaurants to try on, I brought my family to SumoSam at Marquee Mall. I’ve been hearing a lot of good feedback about the restaurant and just found out later that it’s co-owned by Marvin Agustin, a local celebrity. We’re not into Japanese foods but we would like to try some of them especially those fused with American flavors.

Pizza Treat At Shakey’s

It was Saturday and we’re supposed to have our monthly dental brace adjustment. We’re almost completely dressed up when our dentist told us via SMS that she could not accommodate us that day. We’re all disappointed so trying to save the day, I asked my youngest sister to just treat us in Shakey’s since she got her first pay slip last Friday. Fortunately, she said yes and Mom even agreed to come with us.

Long Time No Visit, Pizza Hut

It’s been a while since we last paid Pizza Hut a visit. My mother is actually not a fan of the pizza chain, that’s why it took us months before we decided to go there again. Aside from salad, pizza and pasta, my mother said that the restaurant has only limited selection of foods. Despite her sentiments on the food chain, my younger sister had been trying to convince us to have lunch there. It was only until last Sunday when everybody said yes.

Affordable Japanese Meals At Tokyo Tokyo

We’ve been eating at Tokyo Tokyo for years already but it is only until today that we got to eat there again. I could still remember the first time I’ve got to try their dishes. I was in college at that time, and my brother asked me to meet him at their SM North Edsa branch. From the name itself, it’s pretty obvious that it is a Japanese fastfood chain. For those not into Japanese cuisine like me, maybe you’ll order Beef Teriyaki for your first meal. It is the most common dish in their menu and that was exactly what I did. And so that’s how it all started. Since then, my family, from time to time, visits Tokyo Tokyo for affordable Japanese meals.

Father’s Day At Italianni’s Restaurant

A week before Father’s Day, I’ve already planned that I’ll bring my family to Italianni’s Restaurant. I was dying to eat in the restaurant since I was in college and it was only last weekend that I got to try it. I made some research before going there so I wouldn’t be clueless on which foods should we order. I also needed to be careful in ordering because of limited budget, that’s why I had a pre-planned meal already when we got there.

Spending A Rainy Evening In Cafe Mary Grace

I love Cafe Mary Grace. I love most of their pastas. I love their homemade iced teas. And I know I’ll also love the other items in their menu once I get to try them. Just recently, I was able to do that while waiting for the ink refill I bought in National Bookstore. It was raining. It was cold and I was hungry. Since the cafe was the nearest one in the store, I stayed there for an hour while waiting and eating at the same time.

Alone At Cafe Mary Grace

It wasn’t my first to eat at Cafe Mary Grace. I’ve been dying to try eating there from the moment I saw it in Trinoma. The place wasn’t that big and sometimes looks crowded because of usage of small spaces between the tables. But there are a lot of things to love about in this cafe. The ambiance is good and I find it unique, too. At the corner and sides inside the cafe was a shelf of interesting books and magazines. Placed beneath the mirrors of the tables were short notes from the some of their customers. I didn’t know how do they do it but the messages were mostly praises about the cafe and its menu. I wonder how could I write my own note and place it there.
