An Unexpected Brunch At ROC Cafe

My colleague and I were supposed to have breakfast at The Chocolate Kiss Cafe around 9am but things happened differently. The meeting ended at 10am and the cafe (one located in 2nd floor) where we planned to eat was closed when we arrived there. I was really looking forward to eating at the cafe again so I was a bit frustrated. The closest place where we could eat is at ROC Cafe, located at the ground level of the same building so we went there right away. By the way, it was my colleague’s treat so I really shouldn’t be complaining. :D

Anniversary Lunch At Banana Leaf

It was a Sunday and at the same time, it was my parents’ 28th anniversary. My father wasn’t here in the country but like what we used to do every year, we gave Mom a bouquet of flowers and a cake. My brother gave money for Mom’s spa treatments while my sister prepared a gift. With a quite limited budget, I volunteered to pay for the lunch. My family got no choice when I said we’d be eating at Banana Leaf Asian Cafe. It’s one of the Philippines best restaurants for 2011 and it’s our first time here. Even if my sisters were not okay with it, they had no choice.

Wrap-up Meeting At Cafe Izzo

We were supposed to meet before lunchtime at the University. It was already past 11:30 in the morning when I arrived at the venue. Even before we got the chance to talk, lunch was served and everyone had started to eat. It was only after lunch that we’re able to talk for a while. And when the rest of my colleague’s officemates started to leave, we decided to continue the meeting at Trinoma. I just got my paycheck at that time so I thought of treating them for merienda. Actually, we spent minutes in just choosing a place where we could eat and stay. I’m really having a hard time in choosing a restaurant or cafe every time I’m with them so I never volunteered to do so. After choosing coffee over donuts, ice cream and sandwich, we ended up sitting at the couch of Cafe Izzo.

Spending A Rainy Evening In Cafe Mary Grace

I love Cafe Mary Grace. I love most of their pastas. I love their homemade iced teas. And I know I’ll also love the other items in their menu once I get to try them. Just recently, I was able to do that while waiting for the ink refill I bought in National Bookstore. It was raining. It was cold and I was hungry. Since the cafe was the nearest one in the store, I stayed there for an hour while waiting and eating at the same time.

Alone At Cafe Mary Grace

It wasn’t my first to eat at Cafe Mary Grace. I’ve been dying to try eating there from the moment I saw it in Trinoma. The place wasn’t that big and sometimes looks crowded because of usage of small spaces between the tables. But there are a lot of things to love about in this cafe. The ambiance is good and I find it unique, too. At the corner and sides inside the cafe was a shelf of interesting books and magazines. Placed beneath the mirrors of the tables were short notes from the some of their customers. I didn’t know how do they do it but the messages were mostly praises about the cafe and its menu. I wonder how could I write my own note and place it there.

From Cioccolo to T.G.I. Friday’s on Graduation Day

It was past 7 in the evening when we saw my sister and parents walking towards the car from the side of the hotel. It was quite earlier than what we expected. I thought the graduation ceremonies would end before 9. My other sister and I just stayed first in the restaurant then in the car while waiting for them. Inside the Grand Palazzo Royale‘s compound is the Ciccolo Restaurant/Cafe where we stayed for 2 hours. While leeching wifi and working at the same time (I brought my work with me, of course), we ordered for something light since we didn’t want to spoil our dinner celebration. My sister and I shared in their Pistachio Sansrival then had separate drinks. I think I got a raspberry iced tea while my sister had shake.
