Whenever we want some decent Filipino food, we always go to Max’s, as there’s one at the town. The restaurant has been a personal favorite for years. Though my family sometimes complains about the price and getting the same food all over again, it’s far better to eat our favorite Filipino meals than settle with fast food meals. I also believe we have a lot to choose from at Max’s.

Hot And Sizzling Merienda With Mom
Whenever I’m out with Mom, we couldn’t get away from eating merienda before going home. Lucky for us, there’s always a branch of Max’s Restaurant nearby. This restaurant is a personal favorite and Mom just couldn’t say no to me most of the time. She usually prefers eating at the food court, where there are more choices and food are very much affordable.
Soup Of The Day: Chicken Or Beef?
Mom and I had this weekly grocery shopping one afternoon and grabbed some snack at Max’s SM Baliuag. My mother would always try to convince me to eat at the food court but most of the time, she’s the one losing to me. I always get to eat where I want, mostly at Max’s Restaurant.
Lumpia Overload
My family loves eating spring rolls (lumpia). This, I think, is influenced by my mother’s good fried shanghai spring rolls and fresh spring rolls. It’s not that my mother’s spring rolls aren’t the best, but I’m always on the look for good restaurant-cooked spring rolls. I’ve tried several lumpia dishes and to be honest, there’s nothing special in most of them.
Post-Shopping Merienda At Max’s
It was one of those afternoons that Mom and I would go to the mall to shop for groceries, but this time, we were with my brother. Mom was hungry even before we arrived to the supermarket but she agreed to have the merienda after we’ve bought everything we needed from SM Baliuag. Though she was eyeing to eat at the food court, my brother and I were able to convince her to eat merienda at Max’s instead. Every time my brother is coming home to the country, he always tries to eat at most twice at the restaurants just to have a taste of their foods again. This was his first visit to the restaurant since he left for Japan last year.
Revisiting Max’s For Another Dinner With Mom
Last week, I was able to find time to go to the mall with Mom. I had to buy my weekly supply of vegetables while my mother had her own shopping list. It was only a quick run in the supermarket as we got to leave home a bit late already. We also had the chance to drop by in the salon to get our hair trimmed. It was already dark when we finished everything so we both agreed to just have our dinner there. Good thing I was able to convince Mom to have it in Max’s Restaurant.
Dinner With Mom At Max’s Restaurant
After a long time of not using our auto, we really missed it and decided to take it to the mall last Thursday for the long overdue grocery shopping. Since it was getting dark already when we finished what we have to do, Mom and I decided to just have dinner at SM Baliuag. My Mom wanted to eat at Chowking or Greenwich but I was able to convince her to dine at Max’s Restaurant for real food choices.
Missing Max’s Chicken
It’s been a while since we last had chicken in Max’s Restaurant. The restaurant is popular for their special recipe of chicken. I’m actually one of their chicken’s big fans. Their chicken is totally different with the ones sold in fastfood chains. There is no need for gravy or ketchup if you’re going to eat Max’s Fried Chicken. And just last month, they bring back their Chicken-All-You-Can Promo that will last until the 10th this month. I’ve wanted to try the promo but I’m afraid I couldn’t eat enough worth of the price I’m going to pay. By the way, it costs Php199 and is only available (upon reservation in some branches) from 6-10pm. I still have 6 days left before the promo ends and I don’t know yet if I’m going to go for it.
