Another Despedida Dinner At Guilbert’s Place

It’s been a tradition to the family to have dinner at Guilbert’s Place the night before my Dad goes back to his work abroad. This year, we’re already had lunch somewhere so we didn’t thought he’ll be requesting dinner in the said restaurant. He really loves eating there, I guess. Even if he finds another restaurant’s kinilaw better, he still likes eating in Guilbert’s once in a while. I guess it’s the restaurant’s ambiance that attracts him the most. So we did go to the restaurant past 6 in the evening. It was a Sunday but the restaurant was still not full when we arrived, maybe because of the bad weather.

Ending The Day At Guilbert’s Place

It was a very busy day for my family, for me most especially. I was invited to be the guest speaker in my alma mater’s kindergarten graduation. The program lasted for 3-4 hours. And then I was still at the school when I knew that I’d need to be at Makati because my sister and her roommates got a problem with their landlady. The problem reached to the point of having a possibility of bringing the case to the barrio hall. So we went to Makati right away and waited for hours – to know how’s the case going to be handled and end, of course. It was already dark when we decided to get home and dropped by at Guilbert’s Place for dinner.

Complete Attendance At Gerry’s Grill

After having several dining experiences in different restaurants, we finally had a complete attendance just last year. My brother was still here at the country, as well as my father. If I could remember right, that was a Sunday so we went to SM Baliuag after attending a mass in the chapel. My father likes eating Filipino foods so Gerry’s Grill is just perfect for him. As usual, it was my brother again who’s in charge of paying for our lunch.

Birthday Lunch At Bacolod Chicken Inasal

This lunch celebration happened last year the day after we celebrated my grandma’s birthday. Since my youngest sister’s birthday is a day after my grandma’s, we usually celebrate their special day through a joint celebration with my family and some relatives. I could still remember going to Antipolo Church last year and then went swimming at Pillila, Rizal. Despite these, we made it sure my sister would have a separate celebration of her own by eating out in a restaurant.

Despedida Dinner At Guilbert’s Place

My brother’s one-month vacation had passed and it’s been a part of the family traditions to eat out before someone left overseas. We used to do the same thing in my father’s case. Since the restaurant choices in our place were limited, we just chose to have dinner at Guilbert’s Place. It might not be the nearest restaurant where we could eat but it is such an interesting place. My father had left already during that time so he was absent during the despedida (farewell) dinner. As always, my brother was the one in-charge of the dinner expenses.

25th Anniversary At Guilbert’s Place

It was my parents’ 25th anniversary last year and we decided to celebrate it at Guilbert’s Place Restobar in Bulacan. Guilbert’s is located near Rocka Village in Tabang, Plaridel, Bulacan. We knew this place from my brother who used to eat there together with his friends. People said the place used to feature some live bands before but when we first went there, they’re no longer doing it. We’ve enjoyed eating in Guilbert’s Place a couple of times already. We’ve always liked the ambiance of the place so it’s quite perfect for my parents’ special day.
