Fresh Or Steamed?

I have monthly appointment at Greenbelt 5 and I always go there alone. There are times I’m inviting my sister to meet me for lunch but she’s either not willing to wake up early or just feels lazy to go to the mall before office work. I know there are a lot of good restaurants in Greenbelt but Chili’s is one of my favorites.

A Different Chopsuey From Recipes

It’s alone me time again. I’m usually hesitant to go to this place because most of the customers dining here come in pairs or as a group. And I rarely eat with friends or family. A colleague once joined me when we were supposed to meet after lunch and he saw me eating alone while he’s on his way to our meeting place.

Keep Coming Back At Max’s

Whenever we want some decent Filipino food, we always go to Max’s, as there’s one at the town. The restaurant has been a personal favorite for years. Though my family sometimes complains about the price and getting the same food all over again, it’s far better to eat our favorite Filipino meals than settle with fast food meals. I also believe we have a lot to choose from at Max’s.

Hot And Sizzling Merienda With Mom

Whenever I’m out with Mom, we couldn’t get away from eating merienda before going home. Lucky for us, there’s always a branch of Max’s Restaurant nearby. This restaurant is a personal favorite and Mom just couldn’t say no to me most of the time. She usually prefers eating at the food court, where there are more choices and food are very much affordable.

Mom’s Father’s Day Treat At Red Kimono

It’s our tradition in the family to celebrate Father’s Day even if my Dad is not in the country with us. And during like other occasions, it’s usually either my brother or myself, who wills to pay for our lunch. That time, my sisters and I cracked a joke that my Mom could be in charge of our restaurant bill for a change. Luckily, Mom said yes. We all agreed to eat at Red Kimono while the restaurant could still accommodate us. We went in early, just in time before other families started to fill in the place.

Birthday Lunch At Josephine Restaurant

It was my birthday and we spent the long weekend at Tagaytay. As planned, we should be able to eat at Josephine Restaurant before heading home. We anticipated a lot of people eating at the restaurant but we didn’t know the place is huge. At first glance, the main eating area looks like a hotel lobby for me. Hehe. The servers and waiters are dressed like the ones in the hotel. I was impressed. The restaurant was jam-packed when we arrived so we had to wait until a table becomes ready to accommodate us. The 5-1o minute wait was worth it. Luckily, we were seated close to the glass walls where we could clearly see the breathtaking view of Taal Lake.

Back At Teriyaki Boy, Finally!

I remember eating at Teriyaki Boy once but I didn’t get to come back until this year. I think I was still a college student at that time so I found their prices a bit pricey and decided not to go back. Whenever I’d be at Trinoma for a while, I’d always look forward to lunch or dinner. I even do online search to check where I could possibly eat and what should I eat. After looking at their online menu, I realized not all of their food is expensive so I decided to give it another try.

Midnight Dinner After The Concert

It was a very memorable night for me as it was the concert of my all-time favorite boyband, A1. I waited for months just to be in that concert and watch the guys perform live in the Big Dome. Because of too much excitement, I forgot to eat dinner before the start of the concert. I only got to eat when it ended around 11:3o pm. I tried to look for a restaurant I had never tried eating at but I ended up at North Park. This was the closest restaurant to one of the coliseums’ exit gates.

Lumpia Overload

My family loves eating spring rolls (lumpia). This, I think, is influenced by my mother’s good fried shanghai spring rolls and fresh spring rolls. It’s not that my mother’s spring rolls aren’t the best, but I’m always on the look for good restaurant-cooked spring rolls. I’ve tried several lumpia dishes and to be honest, there’s nothing special in most of them.
